How many views could a website cater for at once before an offshore server is require?

I'm thinking of creating a new internet business but don't really understand the benefits and purpose of having an offshore server? I know they are suited as you get more interest in your website but thats about all i know! Are there any high-quality and secure server packages that you would recommend?

1. Most of the the good hosting packages now offer a large bandwidth so you will not have any problems to start with. I would recommend pickaweb.co.uk for hosting services, don't look for anything cheap go for the webmaster plan they have. Good Luck
