1. Not sure your question makes sense. You need to configure your DNS (domain name server) to translate machine.domain.com into an IP address. For detail how to configure DNS: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/dns4/ If you want people to send email to user@some_mail_server.domain.com, you need to configure your mail server. How this is configured depends on what mail server you use. If this is what you want, post another question with detailed info. Someone who has use that type of server can tell you how.
