why im unable to send mails to yahoo email account by using gmail smtp server from my application?

im working in c# im using gmail smtp server for sending emails from my application but im unable to send mails to yahoo account where as mails sent to gmail account are delivered... y is this so????

1. I have experienced the problem of mails simply disappearing too (no "no delivery"-message, even though the recipient didn't receive the mail (even though we both use Yahoo Mail), but only in about 1 in 250 cases/mails. The quality of yahoo mail is declining though (today, they don't even let you use POP/SMTP (mail clients) even though they used to be the best mail provider in my opinion), I don't really know much about gmail as I avoid google products in general for privacy reasons (especially regarding sensitive/private things like email accounts, as Google is known to have questionable privacy policy's), but it might have something to do with the SMTP settings in your mail client (I'm not an expert on this issue though). Try sending a mail through your web-based gmail interface, that might at least help you with troubleshooting. Good luck.
