a question about SMTP server?

I set up the Windows Vista's Task Scheduler to send an email from my Yahoo account to someone who has a gmail account. The action failed with a code 2147746323 -- Email failed. The only thing I could do wrong was the SMTP server. I put smtp.mail.yahoo.com in the SMTP Server filed. What did I do wrong? Please help me out!
