Your Server

What linux distro makes a good game / file server?

I'm going to be building a home server soon that will serve as both a filesharing server and a game server for LANs, and I'm having trouble deciding on an OS. FreeNAS looked good, but I don't think it'll run the majority of deticated game servers, and I don't want to shell out $100 for Windows Home Server (plus I could use the linux experience). It needs to: -Run, at the very least, the Source Dedicated Server tool in Steam, and hopefully the DS tools for other games. -Be able to share video files over a network using something similar to Windows Media Sharing, so that we can stream content onto our TV. -A web-based GUI for setup over another computer (like FreeNAS) would be nice, although I suppose we could just use a remote desktop tool. -Be able to use a built-in torrent program. If there are plug-in available for Windows Home Server that could allow use of all these things, I would be willing to bite the bullet and pay for WHS, but as I said, something in Linux would be great because I need the experience. Thanks for any help!
