Your Server

Friend cant connect to my Garrys mod server?

I created a multiplayer game and forwarded my ports correctly, so how come my friend still cant connect to my server? I dont want a dedicated server, I want a simple one so just me and him can play.. Am i giving him the wrong IP address to join? (The one that www.whatismyip.com is showing) or what.. we also tried the Hamachi Virtual network, But that dident work either Ripping my hair out here over it.. Thanks in advance. Its not a mistaken IP, I got my friend to try and join through XFire... Could this possible be a problem with my modem/router? Its kinda old now, And my ports never seem to forward properly anymore.. Had a similar problem when i tried to run a TeamSpeak server.. It was set to sv_lan 0, Bryan. Thanks tho
