I can't read new (gmail) mail from outlook?

I made an account on pop3 options incoming server: pop.gmail.com outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com i made the outgoing server check box and the pop and smtp numbers (995 and 465) I can send some mail and read it in gmail, but i don't see any of my mail in outlook btw i enabled the pop option in gmail. What can i do to read it ?

1. Why would you want to read it in Outlook? By bringing the email to your computer, you lose access to it from remote locations And you either lose it or have to transfer it when you replace your computer. If you have MyYahoo as your home page (or wherever you access the page), you can add a link that will show you previews of your gmail account and give you access there; or you can add a shortcut to your desktop that will take you directly to gmail. I personally have disabled Outlook on my computer because it takes away my ability to refer to my email from any remote location; it limits you to just your home or laptop or to whatever computer you've linked your emails. You can now add files for organizing your email on both Yahoo and gmail and export your contacts lists, so I can't imagine why you'd limit yourself to Outlook.
