HOSTING PC GAME SERVERS WITH A LAG?

ok i just started hosting servers. And this lag goes off when ever it wants to it will jump over 2000. Witch isn't pleasent. Is there any way i can fix this? Weird thing is, im the host.

1. Is your connection wi-fi ? It might be dropping out Do you have anything that uses the internet too much? If you browse the web during hosting then it can cause it to lag for a second. And a stupid question, are your hosting ports forwarded? :D
