Counter-strike Source - Dedicated server questions?
Hi I have just created a Source Dedicated Server (downloaded from steam) And i finally got it running. And it is my first server so I have a couple of questions 1. Im not sure if I am admin. so how can I check it ? (I followed i guide on youtube, but I'm not sure if it worked) 2. Then when I start the server i have type a couple of commands into the console, Is there a way so it does it automatically?(commands like "sv_lan 0" - "es_load msrpg" and "sv_airaccelerate 150") 3. I also added a rpg mod, but how do I get credits (easy) And give credits to my friends. 4. How do I get the console in-game to work. So I don't have to go out and edit in the source dedicated server window Thanks for you help. Tobias Also in some maps there is a weapon menu in the left. were you can just pick a weapon what is that called . ?

- If you go into your half-life 2 folder -> css -> source dedicated server folder, create a new file called server.cfg in a folder called config. In that file, include all the commands that you want to be executed automatically. Also include the command [rcon_password yourrconpassword]. Also some of these you might only want for certain maps and you need separate config files. By the way, you might want to check that your internet has sufficient upload to host a server. I managed to host a 8-slot server fairly smoothly with 470kb/s but could extend that up to about 16 slots with a bit of choke here and there. There are also certain tweaks you can make to your computer to ensure that the server runs smoothly. To enable console in game, go on keyboard settings -> advanced -> tick enable developer console or something similar. Then you press the key to the left of "1" on your keyboard to activate it. Sites to check out: - http://www.speedtest.net/ - http://www.cstrike-planet.com/ - http://www.srcds.com/ - http://www.mani-admin-plugin.com/ All of the above information is roughly correct, but it has been a while since I last hosted a server so you'd be better off visiting those links above which really helped me out.
