How to change "It works" page from a localhost?

I have a dedicated server linux on which ubuntu has been mounted. I need to change the page It works through apache. Can any1 help please

1. The "It works!" page is the index.htm or index.html file located in your htdocs root folder, usually /var/www/ for Linux distros. You can edit the file with your favorite text editor or overwrite it with another one you've prepared somewhere else. You can also do a search for the file if you're having trouble locating the directory. I've not used Ubuntu in a while and don't know if they have things organized differently; I'm a Slackware user myself.
