Why cant others join my dedicated server?

I have forwarded all my ports and everything but still no one can join the server i changed the lan thing to 0 can anyone help me im so frustrated

1. That question sounds like the cry of an aspiring, but failing, new cult leader who has only acquired one disciple. "Why, oh why!, can't others join my dedicated server??"
2. Can you give some details? What software? Trying to join what game or what? Etc...
