Problem sending messages on outlook express?
PLEASE anyone HELP! I need to have outlook express for school. I can receive messages on it but not send. May be security problem but I am not very apt with computers and do not know what to do. Here is the message I just got from Outlook. Please help ABC not technical. Thank you VERY much! The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'marebethhall@comcast.net'. Subject 'checking this', Account: 'pop3.zoominternet.net', Server: 'smtp.zoominternet.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 sorry, relaying denied from your location [71.206.212.139] (#5.7.1)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

- It considers you as SPAM and blocked you. Typically emails allow you to send up to 100 emails at a time, but any more then you're considered on of the "bad guys". Call your provider to get the number of the SPAM resolution. They should have it.
- This message is confusing. You claim to have an e mail address with the @comcast.net domain yet the smtp and pop servers are using different pop and smtp server. Are you trying to send and receive using the marebethhall@comcast.net e mail account? If so, you have the wrong smpt and pop3 servers listed. Here is a link for Com Cast that is probably accurate (check w Com Cast if there are problems) http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA010956951033.aspx Now if you are trying to use a different e mail address using the zoominternet.net domain, your e mail servers will be different. Here is a link http://support.zoom-internet.net/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=14 I suggest you validate both of these for accuracy. If you can recieve but not send e mail, it is probably that your outgoing server requires authentication and it uses the same settings as inbound but you did not make those settings in the advanced settings section.
