Your Server

Linux Server?

I am going to use a linux server for file storage, and as a Windows Logon Domain. Could anone suggest which version would be best suited. Also, i am not too good with the Linux commands, so if anyone knows a tutorial that would also be great!

  1. If this is for a business, spend the money on Red Hat. If for home use, Ubuntu could be set up as a server as could Debian. There are other distributions primarily for servers--check with http://www.linux.org/ . Go to the link for distributions and select "Security enhanced." If you are going to set up a server, you had better study up on command line. It really isn't that difficult.
