one-click file hosting website, is it necessary to get your own dedicated server or can it be rented? ?

can a dedicated server with enough capacity be rented for a one-click file hosting website or would i have to purchase my own. please provide links or info. File hosting websites.. do they all have they own servers.. need expert advice. thank you
