Is it possible to run Windows Small Business Server 2003/8 on a desktop type computer and run a server ?
Also will the server still run smooth and be reliable.

- And run a server? not sure what you mean however... Small Business Server 2003 will run on a desktop PC but it needs to be a decent spec. All depends on what performance you want and how many users. You'll need at the very least a Pentium 4 CPU and 1GB of memory and preferably a hard drive with an 8MB cache minimum. And that will give you a "workable" system. If you are running it properly in a business then ideally you want a core 2 duo, 1.5GBs of ram and a quick hard drive like a Western Digital Raptor. or one 16MB cache. SBS 2003 is very reliable if it is not on an underspecified server or poor quality hardware. Hope this helps.
- The above is correct, but it all depends on what you want. Do not forget to download relevant drivers!
