How do I make my xbox live work on games without a dedicated server?

I have dsl and I use a wireless router to obtain my xbox connection. I have enabled UPnP and changed the DMZ settings so I now have open NAT. I still get connection interrupted about twice a game for about 3-5 seconds. Unfortunately if the game I am playing does not have a dedicated server, instead of having a connection interrupted it boots me. please help me.

1. Try running an ethernet cable to the router, or moving your Xbox closer to your router, it may be your wireless connection is not strong enough to support the data transfer. A cable connection is faster and more secure than your wireless.
