How do I find a good proxy server that is compatible with macs?

I need a proxy server, just want to take precautions against getting hacked, protect my privacy, etc. I would like a service, one that is paid for because I have heard that that is a better idea than using free ones (more privacy, tech support, etc). Can anyone recommend one? All the services I am finding are for windows only.

7. Not sure that the paid services are that much better than the free ones available.
