1. don't think you can get pop/smtp access for gmail
2. pop.gmail.com - Pop3 smtp.gmail.com - smtp Dude above, I did using mozilla thunderbird.
3. Google provides a help and support page for this. Please go to: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?ctx=%67mail&hl=en&answer=12103 and click on the browser of your choice. It will then provide a walk through for you to follow. It should work easily since i have done it myself through this website.

5. Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.gmail.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com or did you want to enable POP? If it is the second one go to this link http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13273 it will go to POP troubleshooter so that it can check your system for you
