Making an Outlook Express account?

Ok, first off I was trying to make a Comcast e-mail account, and to do that apparently I need an Outlook Express account. So I tried making one, and me being my computer illiterate self I have no idea what it means by Incoming mail: POP3, IMAP, or HTTP server or Outgoing mail: SMTP server. I think I heard somewhere that you need to pay to have an Outlook Express account, if I'm wrong please tell me and if someone can help me make an account that'd be great.

1. you don't need a special account. However, you do have to configure outlook express properly. Basically all you have to do is under the pop and smtp fields is type. pop.comcast.net smtp.comcast.net And fill out all the other fields with the appropiate information, such as your name. You don't have to worry about personal information like phone number and such.
