how do I verify if I have entered a server name?

I have windows vista.My ISP is comcast and my mail is through yahoo.when I try and send an attachment it says, the host 'SMTP' cannot be found;no, socket error:11001,error #0x800CCC0D.Can anyone help me?Go easy though;I'm not too computer savy yet.thanks abunch!

1. You need to contact comcast and they will give you the smtp code you need, the one you have is not correct. dont worry they will tell you how to get to the place you have to go to to enter it.
2. Hi Heidi, Is your Vista machine able to connect to the internet? If not, you will need more assistance. Also, check to see if the server name is typed correctly and in lowercase letters. If that doesn't help, you will need to take a few minutes and contact (Comcast) your ISP. They'll walk you thru or make a house call.
