PHP - XAMPP - help?

When I try to send mail from my localhost it gives me the error Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 553 We do not relay non-local mail, sorry. in D:\XAMPP\xampp\htdocs\z\best mail form\mail.php on line 96 wtf ?! ..plz help & with Mercury I can't send mail .. MORE DETALIS PLEASE ...how to config the mail ( ) function ..so I can send mails

1. setup your local mail server
2. your email host won't allow you to send mail through its servers if it doesn't originate on their servers. This is to protect them from people exploiting your email address for spam.
