can i host a small cs dedicated server on my old dell (in LAN party 4 ppl max)?

its a very old dell, 300-420mhz? 320 ram, windows 2000 pro so basically does a host computer have to be fast to host a lan server or is it dependent on the lan card and speed

1. the computer would have to also be fast. If you are having a small lan just pick whoever has the fastest computer and have them run the server off of theirs while they play. Everyone then connect to them. Thats what me and my friends used to do. You all will have very fast response time as it is since you are on a local lan time with less than 10ms response time.
