How do I get smtp server to stop rejecting me? I can receive email, but I get rejected by the smtp server smtp.att.yahoo.com when sending. I think it needs to confirm I am really me as I am away from home on a computer it doesn't recognize. I know there are instructions online on how to resolve this but I can't find them. They are part of the initial set procedure. Please help. Thanks.

What setting and/or port do I use for my out going smtp server? Upon accessing my mail program I get a pop-up messsage advising that the server smtp1.mail.com on port 25 has timed out and my previous attempt to send mail was rejected. My mail.com administrator suggests using the following outgoing server smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com. This has not remedied the problem. It seems like the Pop Servers have been down for most of the week. When I can receive mail from one client, it works for all 3, so I don't think it is a problem with my clients. My server is blocked by Yahoo Spam Filter? I've had this domain, www.catfishing.tv, for several years now and I've never spammed anyone or even had an smtp server running on it for several years. When my forum sends someone an email that is on a yahoo account it dumps the confirmation email from phpbb2 forum software into their bulk folder. Why is my yahoo server constantly asking me to enter my user name and password? I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 as my email client. what is my incoming and outgoing mail servers? need my att POP3 or IMAP server (incoming mail) and the outgoing mail server(SMTP)

Why can't I set up Outlook 2007 w/ my att.net email address? I am trying to receive my email from my att.net email address through Outlook 2007. It gives me an error saying it can't find an encrypted server the first time I try then tells me to verify my email address. It's right, the pop and smtp settings are right the port settings and the ssl stuff is right. What else could be wrong?

I want to set up my outlook to access my email. I need to know how to access my ymail account (a new version of yahoo) & my att account. ATT told me their outgoing mail server is fmail.isb.att.net, but I cant figure out the incoming mail server. Thanks in advance! I cannot send mail from home, only receive.? I have U-verse, and I cannot send mail. I also have a mac and am using mac's mail program. I can recieve mail, but i cannot send. using yahoo mail plus with an AT&T DSL account? I installed AT&T DSL. I have a Yahoo mail plus account that I would like to use as my incoming mail server and this works (pop.plus.mail.yahoo.com), but I would have to use AT&T for my outgoing. They say to use: smtp.att.yahoo.com with authentication, incoming port 995, outgoing: 465.. I can receive e-mail fine, but can not send, using Outlook 2007. Under "Send Test E-mail Message" I get failed: Specified server found but no response from server. All other test work OK. I have verified all setting, including my login to att.net mail server. I can login into att.net mail server without outlook OK. AT&T does not know how to fix, wants to charge me $99 and then says that it is an Outlook / Microsoft problem. Anyone have any ideas or had a similar problem?

I have been using outgoing mail server smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com and then using my server requires authentication with the user name and password filled in. for the last month I have experience tremendous problem sending emails. how do i get a new user connected to internet? bought a new computer, with new service [att.net). I am already set up on internet, but i have been trying to add a new user. Every time I try to set one up it comes back (cannot connect to internet). I am a new PC user so I can't figure it out. I did a diagnostic and it comes back (cannot connect with modem) and everything else about the modem fails. It also says my (POP3 server accessibilty test failed) and my (SMTP setrver accessibilty test failed) Can any one help me with this? Sending image through SMTP server question? I have a program that automatically sends pictures through a specified SMTP server... I have it set up to send them to my phone's email address with ATT&T. I've tried Gmail and Yahoo, and both work, it sends the message, but when my phone tries to retrieve the picture, it says "failed". I know it's not a problem with the image though, because if I send the SAME image directly through gmail or yahoo, my phone is able to download it perfectly. Could this be an issue with encryption? Or is it something else? Any ideas? I do. I already said that the pictures worked fine if I sent them normally. Sending them through the program, however, doesn't work. Even though it tries to send the pictures... For some reason, my phone can't retrieve them.

Is Yahoo having SMTP problems? I'm using Outlook Express to acces my ATT Yahoo email. I'm using my bellsouth.net e-ddress, and the pop.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com servers.
