Where can I outsource business class file server hosting for my small business? I outsource hosting for my Exchange server, SharePoint server, Web site server and soon hosted VoIP services. Now, I'd like to know if I can outsource my company's file server to a hosted server. This would be for multiple users to access and synchronize files securely with collaboration, backup services, disaster recovery as well as location redundancy. Can you recommend a provider to me? Please tell me more about pros and cons, things to consider. Thanks!
How can I backup my mailbox on from a hosted Exchange server? I'm thinking about switching hosted Exchange providers, perhaps even running my own Exchange server as I have in the past. The big challenge is to store my calendar, contacts, etc in such a way that they are easily transferrable to another Exchange server mailbox. Backing up other items such as categories would be nice, but not essential, as I believe those are stored locally in Outlook 2007 ( my client ). Thanks in advance!
Is there a way to automatically synchronize address books between exchange server? We will be using Rackspace to host our e-mails. They provide hosted exchange server e-mails for our domain. We would like to be able to synchronize the exchange server address book with other companies that are using exchange server automatically if possible. Is there a way? How about a third party software? Thanks for the help.
Hosting a microsoft exchange server...? Hello, We have a Microsoft Windows 2000 Server environment with approximately 8 Windows 2000 servers and 80 workstations. We are not running Active Directory or any domain based policies. Its a simple network really. We currently use Outlook 2003 with POP3 email that is hosted by our ISP. We want to deploy Microsoft Exchange server so that Outlook 2003 can use more advanced features like calendaring, etc. We need to also have Outlook Web Access. Do we need to convert to active directory, or can I do this without having to convert right now? Please advise ... thank you!
Can you just disconnect from an exchange server? Small company using outlook on exchange server. If we disconnect from the exchange server and switch to imap with another host, will we lose messages already in outlook inbox or will they stay with the program after the switch?
need to setup exchange server 2003 without a domain name to push to phones and desktops? I work for a small company without an IT dept. We have Win Server SBS 2003 which has exchange. I need to setup 2 users to have their Email/Calendar/Contacts pushed to their desktops and phones. One phone is WinMo and the other is Android based. The issue is that our website and email are both hosted by a domain host. Exchange will be set to pull the POP3 email from the domain host then push to the Comps and Phones. Is this possible to configure without having to move the website and email hosting to our server? Do we need a domain name for our server, or should we be able to access this through our ISPs IP? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Microsoft Exchange Server problem? I am using Microsoft Exchange Server 6.5 . We are hosting our own email. About a week ago, one of the employees here said he could not receive outside mail. He could send mail, and receive mail delivered within the company, but he could not reeive mail from an outside source. I did a test by sending him an email from a gmail account, and it automatically bounced back. Then, on Thursday or Friday of last week, another employee complained about the same problem! Can anyone think of anything that might be causing this? Any suggestions? Thanks!
If I transfer us to a new host for our exchange server, will we lose our emails/calenders? IT asked me for permission to install our own exchange servers (we are currently using another host provider). When I asked them if we'd lose our calendars and emails on the current servers, he said he wasn't completely sure but he didn't think so. I don't think he understands that an entire company's calendar and email data are kind of a big deal... Anyone know better? will the data save on our personal computers and just repopulate the exchange server when we change the dns settings?
First Exchange Server on small Domain? We have small domain and want to install exchange for first time, my first question is that how users will access there emails from outside office or home. whats the best way or common ways to connect for your emails. second question is that if I have registered website with free email accounts, which one is better for small company? to go for exchange or to go for hosting or to go for exchang and hosting both. Thanks in advance.
Does Active Directory or Exchange server provide API or framework for developers to write plug-in.? I'd need to enable a 3rd party hosted service from within Active Directory or Exchange server. Basically, IT admin can select a list of users from AD or Exchange server and say eanble "AAA" service for these users. The list of users with the information are sent over to the "AAA" service through web service and the accounts are then created for "AAA" service for these users. Thanks in advance
Microsoft Exchange Server - Switch? Hello, I've just recently switched web hosting companies for our small business. We have a Microsoft Exchange Server that controls our mailboxes for the emails we have (@ourdomainname.co.uk). Because we have switched web hosting companies, our domain name was transferred and now our emails don't send and receive. How do i make the configuration changes in order for the Microsoft exchange server to correspond with our new hosting company? I will add more details if necessary just ask! You absolutely right Peter!! I'll check out your advice, then i'll add more details!

Does RIM Blackberry Internet Solution allow wireless syncing of calender events from Microsoft exchange? I am looking to roll out Blackberry 8800 phone across my business. We have a hosted MS exchange server and are not looking to setup a Blackberry Enterprise Server, so are going to looking into the Blackberry Internet Solution (BIS). The different operators can not give me a definitive answer if BIS will wireless sync calender and contacts. Can anyone help? We currently use Treo 650 handsets which sync email, calender and contacts wirelessly directly with MS exchange, so don't really want to lose this functionality.
2 different email accounts on exchange? Lets say i have user1@company1.com and user1@company2.com. Can i use one exchange server to host both the user1@company1.com and the user1@company2.com email? Both cpompanies have nothing in common i just want to know if i can host those two different types of emails on the one exchange server.
Cannot look up DNS name of FQN name for my Exchange server, randomly drops off the network? On our domain our Exchange Server 2003 will drop out of site, and Outlook 2003 clients cannot find it. If you try to ping it by IP its there , but you cannot look it up by its DNS name or its FQN name or ping it by that name. When I look in the DNS tables its there with the correct Host A record. Re-registering DNS on the client machines fixes the problem sometimes. Sometimes restarting the Exchange server fixes the problem without having to re-register DNS on the client machines. Very frustrating. Can't seem to figure out if its a DNS problem or an Exchange problem. Happens about twice a week, only on other subnets, but not the subnet the Exchange server is on.
Migrate from ISP hosted email to exchange? What does the following entail? Drop 15 email accounts with local ISP and setup the same email domain on exchange (server 2008)? The ISP is unreliable so we were hoping to merge to exchange to solve this problem. We would still have the rights to the domain because we would keep the ISP for our website.
Exchange server e-mail sync with iPhone vs. Blackberry enterprise? So, our company is using Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) for e-mail, contact, and calendar syncing via phone. We have to pay our e-mail hosts $5.00 a month to host the server, and it's $15.00 a month through AT&T (I believe) to add this program. For a total of $20.00 a month, what is the benefit to use this feature with Blackberry vs. syncing with iPhone. You don't need any of the enterprise server packages to sync with the iPhone, correct? Just a little confused.. Thanks
How do I directly use the mail exchange server of godaddy? I have one domain name and my web hosting company helped me login my godaddy account and then entered their name servers in the "custom nameservers". And I also use email forwarding plan of godaddy and there are some email forwarding entries already created. Now in the control panel of my web hosting, I have created two MX records to point to the godaddy's MX servers: abc.commailstore1.secureserver.net.10 abc.comsmtp.secureserver.net.0 Although this works with no problem. But whenever a email is sent to my domain, the email will first go to the MX servers of my web hosting company and then according to the MX records, they send the email to the godaddy's MX servers and then godaddy will do the email forwarding. My question is, can the email directly send to godaddy's MX servers, without going through my web hosting company's MX servers? Thank you so much.
how to host website and email on my own machine? I recently bought a domain just to play around with . I also have a spare pc which i would like to convert into a server to host my website and also host exchange server ( for emails) . iPhone exchange server e-mail setup? So I have an e-mail address that is hosted through the gmail interface like an exchange server, but the address is NOT gmail (we'll call it @nonprofit.org). Can I still set this up on my iPhone? Are there special steps that I am missing?
set up W2K server, host website with fixed IP? Hello all, I have a client with a W2K server and he is hosting his own website on the server. Time Warner has provided him with a fixed IP. Everything is set up, and everything is working; so far so good. Now TW wants to assign him a different fixed IP. In order to change this, I find this IP setting in his router setup, right? Do I need to make any other changes, such as in IIS or Exchange Server? Thanks in advance :^)
Setting Up Exchange Server 2007 with Windows Server 2008? Hi, got a brand new server at work, installed server 2008 on it and exchange. Now the websites that we use are hosted by 1and1. How do I set up Exchange to utilize that? I'm not terribly familiar with server technologies but I am a quick learner. When answering please do not assume I have set everything up correctly, like i said i am basically a newbie to server technology. Please help been through everything from phoning Microsoft to 1and1. Sorry maybe I wasn't to clear: Exchange is installed. Everything just needs configured to my web server. I don't really want to shift my emails onto an internal server (and same with the website). I want it all still to be kept with 1and1, saves downtime since we are in a very unreliable area.
Do I really need exchange server? I have around 18 users that are networked together on a workgroup. I do have one pc that acts like the sever that just stores the data from all the users. We do not have a mail server we use use a pop3, they also host our website so the mail is filtered there before it gets to us (less virus and spam) I really cant think of a reason why we need a domain server if anyone has reasons why I should or why I shouldnt please let me know. The only thing I can think of is a domain would be more secure however we are not working with top secret info here. The work group works fine let me know why I dotn need to spend a lot more money for exchange.
How much "bandwidth" does streaming internet radio take? We have a workgroup with about 30 local workstations, and 2 VPNs with about 4 users on each (remotely) we're hosting an exchange server, the 2 VPN connections, and general browsing and email. Would it be a bad idea to open up internet radio streaming to the users? We have (2) T1's for a total of 3MBx3MB. I would like to allow users to stream radio at their desks, but would it consume too much bandwidth? Thanks.
Domain Controller and exchange server failing after power failure? have an environment where i am running AD and exhchange on one server.I had a huge power failure and now my exchange server is not delivering email to mailboxes. I am able to send out emails on that exchange server but i cannot received anything.I am getting event id 2102(Domain Cotrollers not responding when i start the server). This server is also a DNS on the network. When i ran a DCdiag yesterday i got this error { The host a8192f67-5acc-4895-9f36-11cc7565b71a._msdcs.venturecomms.com could not be resolved to an IP address. Check the DNS server, DHCP, server name, etc Although the Guid DNS name (a8192f67-5acc-4895-9f36-11cc7565b71a._msdcs.venturecomms.com) couldn't be resolved, the server name (mailserver.venturecomms.com) resolved to the IP address (10.1.3.130) and was pingable. Check that the IP address is registered correctly with the DNS server.} Does anyone know howi can resolve this please. This problem happened on sunday.I would appreciate it if some helped me.
How would you back up an exchange mailbox from Outlook? I need to back my computer up daily, but we are having a hosted exchange solution, and therefore can't set the server up to do automatic backups. Because of this, I am forced to export one every day. Does anyone know of a way to make this happen automatically (I have tried copying the file automatically, but it won't work, as it is an OST, not a PST) Thanks in advance :)
URGENT...Need Help with Microsoft Access Exchange Server.? This situation began happening right after I upgraded my Symantec Exchange Server Anti Virus and Spam. I have a 2 workstations out of a network of 80 running (Windows XP) that can see the network however when you try to access the internet I get page can not be displayed. Tried to use wireless to a public network and it still is not able to access the internet. 2 Days later my mail server running Exchange has encountered the same issues. We are able to send emails internally however no one can send outgoing emails or receive them. The Nic is fine and I ran diagnostics on the server all came back fine. Neither machine can ping the Gateway 192.168.1.254 however I am able to ping the DNS & both domain servers 192.1.68.1.4 and 192.168.1.6. When attempting to ping google it times out! Not sure what else to do. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what is causing this? Domain Controllers are Server 2000 and All other servers on Network are Server 2003. Currently the firewall is disabled. Need advise quickly as Email is down across the network.
Is exchange server necessary? Small office network of 10 computers. Upgrading from (XP Pro) peer to peer to a SBS 2003 setup. DSL, run thru a 2 wire gateway. Exchange server, static IP's is being highly recommended by the software supplier. We currently get our email through yahoo (set up in hosted web site by yahoo). Only one person accesses the email and distributes it to the two or three people that actually get any email. The only drawback with the email system as it is now is the ocasional attachment over 20 mb - we then have it sent via sendthisfile.com.
IMAP e-mail or MS Exchange server to sync MAC & Windows? I'm confused about the best way to sync e-mails on all of my devices. I have a small business, and I want to sync e-mail replies, etc. between my office computer (imac), my laptop (macbook), and my PDA (windows mobile). I need to keep my existing e-mail address e.g. me@mydomain.com What is the best way to accomplish this? My current host doesn't offer IMAP e-mail, is the simplest solution to switch to a host that supports IMAP or do I need to upgrade to Snow Leopard and sign up for an exchange server? Thanks!
Choosing between outlook exchange server 2007 and outlook exchange server 2003? We are trying to decide between 2003 and 2007. We've scoured the books and dont see much of a difference except 75GB vs 16TB storage. We use online access via the web ,outgoing emails through our websites, general outlook 2007 access, calendars and calendar sharing, and mobile exchange access through our phones . Other than these features, we don't do anything else. We were using 2007 through an outside service, but now we are hosting our own service. Is there any reason to use 2007? or will 2003 work the same for us and therefore save the few hundred dollar difference? Thanks!

Unable to receive external emails in Exchange Server 2003 environment.? I work at a mortgage company and we had an issue with not receiving external emails. I contacted our consulting company to look into the issue while I did at the same time. He rebooted the firewall and then I tried send and email from an external account and it didnt go through. I then checked mxtoolbox.com to see if our mx records were corrected and nothing showed up. I asked him if this could cause the issue and he said yes. Once the issue was fixed, he called and said that he rebooted the firewall again and that seemed to fix it or it fixed itself. I checked mxtoolbox again, and then there was a record. QUESTION: 1.Can rebooting the firewall fix the issue? 2.Do you think that because there was no MX record that there was an issue. 3. Where are the mx records stored other than the server side where the site is hosted? Note: the site is hosted off-site. So I was right then, and he didnt want to admit it. so it could have been on the hosting side - their systems were down.... After further investigation, I found who hosts our website. Someone on the West coast cut a fiber that affected alot of services including 911 in that area.
Problem with hosted Exchange? We are running Windows 2000 Pro workstations and a Windows Server 2003 file server. My bosses opted for a hosted Exchange solution rather than an in-house Exchange server. We signed up with a company who have us connecting through a VPN. The VPN connects and stays connected, but Outlook 2003 will either not connect to their Exchange server or it will connect for a while and then disconnect. I was on with several of their tech support agent all day yesterday with no resolution. They say something on our domain (network) is blocking the OUtlook connection. But, the IT guy we use for the stuff that's over my head says it is domain independant. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
Godaddy and Exchange 2003 configuration? How do I configure my Godaddy domain account in Exchange 2003? I've bought a domain name from Goddady, but, cant for the life of me figure out how to point it to my Small Business Server 2003 Exchange server. I want Exchange to host my email. Please help.
Setting up exchange, internet and a network? I got Email from a server hosted in the US(5 emails). I want to setup a network from scratch with Server 2003 & another server with Exchange 2003. What kind of hardware do I need? What is the setup like? What is a good firewall? Can someone help me with the whole setup? How can I download those emails to my exchange to the respective users? I also want the users on my network to be able to send emails internally to the users on my network. Can someone help me plan my network & email server?
Exchange users cant send outside of LAN? At work we have a 2003 exchange server that also hosts DNS. Slowly users started not being able to send outside of the LAN, but can receive just fine. Users in the LAN are just fine. Messages will just sit in their outbox and no errors are shown. Contacted their ISP and tried using an alternate outbound server, no dice. Some users cant send at all, some can send only to addresses within the domain (get a mcafee msg "no transport"???) Users are also located in different areas, Boston, Florida, San Diego so I doubt it could be a coincidental problem on their ends. I have had an outside consultant look at the exchange settings and was told everything is good on the server side. Server also hosts OWA, but OWA isnt flexible enough for the user needs. I have tested these accts from inside the LAN and they work fine.....any ideas or leads?
What is the best way to get more performance out of my network? We have 6 Hp 2524 10/100 autosensing managed switches connected to each other with the gigabit uplink we have are router plugged into the first switch and servers plugged into the second switch. I have noticed that the further down the line the worse your performance gets. We have an exchange server that is hosted outside our office and some other web servers that we use have been moved to a data center as well...What would be the best way to get more performance with this... (Our switches use mini-gbics to link to each other) I have thought about an 8 port gigabit switch to have all the switches connect to? any thoughts or suggestions? Maybe I need to give more information... pretty much every port is filled up on every switch.. (a few ports not in use but very few... my calculations are 24 ports at 100 mbit = 2.4 gigabits useage per switch...) I need some better ideas on getting more performance....
I'm installing Microsoft exchange server 2003 and need to help creating a domain? Ms Exchange mails downloaded to other's account's inbox? Hi, I am using Ms Outlook 2003 on WindowsXP SP2, and trying to configure with Ms Exchange Server 2003. I have one my company's pop3 account configured to outloook. Mails from this account goes to default "Personal Folders' inbox". After this I tried to configure my other account which is hosted on Ms Exchange Server 2003. When I configured this account as second account in my outook 2k3, It created one more folder called "Mailbox - Ashish Kumar". Now the problem is... Mails from exchange server are downloading into Personal Folders' Inbox and mails are getting deleted from server. While from the same account all other mails are going to appropiate folders. e.g. Mails from Sent folder of Exchange Server is going into "Mailbox - Ashish Kumar" send folder, and also maintaing a copy on server. Now my question is 1). how to restore my inbox's mails to back into Exchange Server's Inbox 2). I want POP mails into Personal Folder's inbox; while Exchange mails into Mailbox-AshishKumar's inbox The problem is, I am not able to choose two different delivery folder for two different account. Means, if I am changing delivery folder, it is changing for both the accounts
What service providers can provide MS Outlook OWA capability remotely i.e. without me buying a server? I have my own domain and various email addresses hanging off that domain. However, I need to enable ten remotely located employees to have full access to their shared global address book of recipients, from Internet cafes or hotels etc. Of course the simple and obvious thing to do would be to buy a server put it in my office and get a license for Microsoft Exchange Server that will automatically enable Outlook Web Access Premium / OWA client....BUT...and this is the point....I like the idea of software as a service...managing hardware is not my core competency...I want the hardware to be some eles's headache. I just want OWA managed by a hosted service provider somewhere, anywhere, on the globe. Just not in my office! We have a website that doesn't require me to have a server on the premises, so why should I want a physical server in my building when all I want is OWA access on the road?
Exchange 2003 server error? This is an SMTP protocol error log for virtual server ID 1, connection #179. The remote host "XXX.XXX.XXX..XXX", responded to the SMTP command "xexch50" with "504 Need to authenticate first ". The full command sent was "XEXCH50 2592 2 ". This will probably cause the connection to fail.

Exchange 2003 Outbound mail not working? Hi... I'm having problems using Exchange 2003. I have a website, hosted on the net with the (cloaked here for security reasons) of www.xxxxxxxxxxx.com, with a couple of basic email adresses setup (info@xxxxxxxxxxx.com, ... and so on) Now we have installed a exchange server in our organistation, but we are connected to the net trough a normal cable internet connection, shared trough a linksys router. All users have mailboxes setup in Active Directory, and mailing internally goes fine. (internal domain is xxxxxxxxxxx.local) When we try to send an email to the outside world, the mails don't get delivered. When i look in the queues of the exchange server, the mails get queued, but nothing happens... What do i need to do to get outbound (and inbound) mails working trough exchange? I searched the net , tried many many things (SMTP connectors and stuff) but nothing seems to work.. Can a expert at this stuff give me a hand? Thanx !
How to setup a relay with Exchange 2003? I have exchange server 2003 setup at present which is fine, however I wish to integrate several users external mail accounts (Gmail etc.) into exchange. I already have a POP3 connector which connects to the external server and retrieves the mail on a predefined interval and that works fine, however I wish to have it so that when the users send E-Mail from their account and it is using the external E-Mail address that instead of sending the E-Mail direct to the end user from the exchange server, it relays through the external providers SMTP host so as to avoid problems with recieving servers running a reverse DNS lookup and then rejecting the E-Mails or flagging them as spam.
What is the best way of creating a hosted email server ? I see that a lot of on line sites are offering Hosted Email solutions. I'm looking for someone who can help me with a DNS problem? I want to figure out how to setup dns for a network that has a hosted mail server, but also uses an exchange server for mail. The hosted server stores, but does not forward the mail to the exchange server. The exchange server resides on a domain.local domain. What should the outbound mail from the exchange server look like. How do I setup reverse DNS on the exchange server?
problem with accessing MS exchange mail with pop3 and smtp outside the organization? Dear all; I have a problem with accessing my email outside the organization, I will explain the situation: I have ISA server 2006 with 2 Ethernet cards, 1 for the internal network and the 2nd for the External and has a real IP. and I have another server which has exchange, domain controller and DNS servers and has a internal IP, I published the exchange with ISA by using mail server publishing rule wizard, I choose to use pop3 and SMTP and listen for external, local host and internal networks, and forward all SMTP and pop3 traffic to the exchange server IP, also I made another access rule to allow all mail protocols and telnet from both sides, but I cannot telnet or access my email outside the company, so I connect the exchange direct with the real imp and disable ISA, then I accessed my email perfectly, so I think there is some sort of authentication or something missing between ISA and exchange. Please help me with this. Thanks and regards Mohamed El-Tayeb dear walt, 1st of all thanks ur reply, i added the all authenticated users and all user to the rule, but i didn't configure those authenticated users i don't know how to configure these users, when i tried to create user my self and get it from AD i couldn't, when i press the find button i couldn't retrieve any users i don't know y, although the DNS configuration is right and the ISA machine is joined to the domain.
Outlook 2007 Hangs Intermittently, every few Minutes? My Outlook 2007 hangs for about 30sec every 3 to 5 moments. It's not network latency (tracert reveals good/fast route), CPU is idle, plenty of RAM (zero paging) and no unusual disk activity observed during the hang. Especially noticeable when composing. The window goes "out of focus" and mouse pointer disappears. I can click on the window to bring it to the foreground, then mouse pointer changes to hourglass for the duration of the hang. Occurs even with all addins disabled, windows search disabled, antivirus/internet/antispam McAfee security disabled (even uninstalled it). All other apps (even office apps) remain functional. Using hosted exchange server, have all current software updates, XP Pro. Dell D820 Latitude, 4GB RAM, 7200rpm hard drive. Just started a couple of weeks ago. No apparent reason. Any ideas on how to diagnose or how to solve? MS says there is no diagnostice logging for Outlook. Their chat support has yet to resolve it.
Configuring exchange 2003 and FQDN with godaddy domain name.? I'm new at exchange server and have it incorporated into my Small Business Server 2003. My problem is I cant configure exchange to send or receive email. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my FQDN. I purchased a domain name from godaddy.com and thought I did everything the right way with configuring MX records. Everything comes up ok when I do a DNSREPORT. The problem is on the side of my exchange server. I have a public domain name of mortxxx.com and my fqdn is dellserver.mtgamerican2.local.. Is there something I should change in the fqdn? @ 67.xxx.xxx.xxx 1 Hour EditRemove CNAMES (Aliases) Host Points To TTL Actions e email.mortxxx.com 1 Hour smtp mail.mortxxx.com 1 Hour email email.mortxxx.com 1 Hour mail @ 1 Hour pop pop.mortxxx.com 1 Hour webmail mail.mortxxx.com 1 Hour www @ 1 Hour
How to set up a college email on iPod Touch Mail? I have a Ball State email, and I would like to connect it to my iTouch (as I call it). BSU recently made mobile connection possible through email, so I would really like to do so, only I dont know what to fill in for many of the blanks. What you need is: *whether its an IMAP, POP, or Exchange (to get there I go to webmail.bsu.edu/exchange, so does that mean its exchange?) *Incoming Server Host name: mail.example.com (dont know what to put here, would it be webmail.bsu.edu, webmail.bsu.edu/exchange, or bsu.edu???) *Outgoing Server Host Name (SMTP) *smtp.example.com (I really have no idea here...) Any help as what to put or how to find the information as I think SMTP is personal, would be great!
How do I find out my incoming and outgoing mail server information to set up my phone to receive work emails? I have an iPhone, and I'm trying to set it up to receive emails from work. I'm not computer savvy, but this process seems possible for me if I could get some help. The required fields on my phone to set up the email account are: Incoming mail server: Host Name________ User Name_______ Password_________ Outggoing Mail Server (SMTP) Host Name_______ User Name_______ Password________ I do have the option to select "POP" or "Exchange" instead of "IMAP"; but I have no idea what those are, nor do I care if I don't need to! As my work email is set up through Outlook, I really don't have any idea what the incoming and outgoing server information is, except that I'm assuming I can retrieve this information somewhow from Outlook itself, right? How do I go about finding the information I need to set up my phone. Thank you in Advance for anyone who cares to provide a step-by-step way for me to find the information I need from Outlook to set up my phone approrpriately. I should note that everyone around here receives their work email from Blackberry's and Palms, so I know there's a way for me to get my work email from my phone too.
Blackberry Service and Exchange? I host my Exchange thro a hosting company that does not have a Blackberry server yet, but my phone company says they do. Will this work and if so, how? Thanks
Trying to set up a team site with Microsoft Office 2000 on Windows XP? Trying to set up a team site with Microsoft Office 2000 Professional on Windows XP and I keep reading that Office server exchange is necessary, but I cant find the install download for it, or actual documentation about the product. Right now we use a online file folder storage area and have a web site with hosted storage space. Is this the same, meaning would the exchange server be a better method of having a collaborated team site? With our online file folder we just hyperlink everything. Could anybody give me suggestions of the best, most effective way of organizing a company intranet site?
Will Yahoo Set a Date for the Release of IMAP Mail, or Do I Have to Switch To Another Service? Gmail has had FREE IMAP support Since Q4 2007. Or I can get a hosted Exchange Server account for about the same price I pay for Yahoo Plus Mail ($20). Yahoo's Plus Mail customers have indicated (myself included), that we are willing to pay for IMAP support, just like we currently pay for POP support. However, if Yahoo continues to ignore our requests, then I will be moving to Gmail or Exchange Server ASAP. Yahoo can't continue to be years behind the ball of its competitors and expect to be succesful. Please respond in a meaningful way to this post (not: We forwarded this on to the Mail Team). I would like answers as to Yahoo's plans for IMAP mail, so that I can know whether I should abandon my Yahoo accounts and begin the arduous process of switching to a different email provider. Yahoo already provides IMAP support for the iPhone -how long will it make its paying customers wait to get a similar level of service?
Anyone willing to host a proxy script for me for free without adds? I am just looking for someone who has a hosting package that supports PHP and has 50.9 KB of space for me to use. It's for a proxy script that I'd like to use at school. It will use no more than 1 GB bandwidth per month and will not store any files on the server besides 2 php files and 1 CSS file. I can't afford nor be able to send money, though I am a very skilled webmaster and would be more than happy to exchange skills for a little hosting. I will need a subdomain, anything will do as long as it itsellf won't be filtered by a school filter. The proxy script will be password protected so that it can't be used by anyone but me, so don't worry about exploiting of the script by others on the internet. I know, it's beggy, but a friend asked me to find a way for him to get on MySpace at school, and a proxy which the school can't access. I tried local hosting from my home PC, but they block browsing on IPs. So, please help and all help is appreciated. As a FYI, the school blocks the proxies that you find in search engines and stuff. The point of password protecting it...

Why is my own personal domain email coming in as spam on my Yahoo email account and other Yahoo accounts? I have a failry new domain name that I use as my primary personal email account. It is hosted on a MS Exchange server that has not been used for spam or mass emailing. I emailed a friend @yahoo.com and my email went in to their spam file. I emailed my personal @yahoo.com account and it also was classified as spam. I also tried sending a blank email with only a subject and no graphics, signatures, attachments, etc. got the same results. Thank you in advance for your help! Thanks for the info on adding the inbound email address to a safe list however I am wondering why the email is classified as spam. I want to be sure that others with a *@yahoo.com email account will not miss my emails. I am sending my resume to a few prospects (not mass emailing) and I really don't want them to miss the email nor want to talk them through finding it in their spam file. Thanks!
