And I need to login to a computer, via SSH, which is outside our network. I tried it as Linux command and on Windows using PuTTY. I also configured PuTTY to use our server's address. But still, "Proxy error: 403 forbidden" pops up. They must've blocked SSH access to outside systems. (college systems as accessible). I can SSH a web server (not the proxy server) at the college, which I use to browse proxy-free by tunneling. Now this server allows to browse restricted sites, but still no SSH. How do I upload the premade "Glype Proxy Script" onto my web server? I have downloaded the glype proxy script from the creators site to enable me to host a proxy server from my localhost. I set up a php enviornment with xampp or whatever and had it run successfully, and I changed the interface to it a bit, but I had a major question. A question about web Proxy servers and anonymity? There are many sites which are blocked for me but which I want to visit. So, I have started using a few proxy servers, mostly CGI based, I think. However, sometimes I need to save the links from those web pages (eg Rapidshare links). The problem is that the links are somehow encoded and scrambled. By unchecking the box for 'Base64', I managed to get the links in a readable format. So that I see "http://www.yahoo.com" instead of "AFD245465F32HJJ90887%f43443" or something like that. But I am afraid that my admins will also be able to see it and I might lose my internet access. iPhone 4 Vodafone UK and no internet?! Im going mad!? Okay I got a brand new iPhone 4 on contract with 3G enabled in my contract on Vodafone UK. Virus wont let me open Safari, HELP? Okay, I was on Safari downloading Train Simulator locos and freight cars. I downloaded one like it was nothing, opened up after finished... It was a virus, I was made cause I found out the user who posts the fake trains has multiple virus trains and I was one of them! Internet browsers won't work.? So, I was on facebook and I opened up a page that I shouldn't have. I am pretty sure the page gave me a virus. So, I turned my computer off and did a system restore on it. That fixed the problems with most everything on the computer. My internet browsers, however, are no longer working. The main browser that I use, Safari, says that "there was a problem connecting with the web proxy server (HTTP)." IE just brings up the normal "cannot connect" message. I have been trying to research all morning as to how to solve this. Any solutions or tips? P.S.- I'm pretty desperate.

How do I get a web server behind a firewall to see IP addresses of remote hosts as if there were no firewall? I am using Squid proxy on the firewall, and Apache/PHP on the webserver. Squid appends the IP of remote hosts to the "X-FORWARDED-FOR" HTTP header, but accessing this is clunky. I have to write special code in each of my PHP scripts to read that header variable. I also have a phpBB installation and it logs IPs, and they all appear as 192.168.1.1 (the internal IP of our firewall). I am looking for a global config solution that would pass thru IP's so that phpBB (and apache access logs) show correct external IP addresses without modifying any phpBB code. Here's the critical detail, I can't do port forwarding because we are hosting sites on more than one server inside the firewall. So port 80 won't always go to the same internal IP. We direct traffic to the right internal IP, then, based on the domain requested. That's what Squid proxy does. Now you see the problem...

A question about web Proxy servers and anonymity? There are many sites which are blocked for me but which I want to visit. So, I have started using a few proxy servers, mostly CGI based, I think. However, sometimes I need to save the links from those web pages (eg Rapidshare links). The problem is that the links are somehow encoded and scrambled. By unchecking the box for 'Base64', I managed to get the links in a readable format. So that I see "http://www.yahoo.com" instead of "AFD245465F32HJJ90887%f43443" or something like that. Help with Socks5 Proxy? I would like to run a socks5 proxy on a web server from a hosting provider. It is a Linux server, but I do not have shell access.
