How much does it cost to run a Microsoft Exchange Server? If you purchase Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 (which is a fixed price), it seems to come with Exchange Server 2007 and possibly 5 accounts for free. So, if you operate the server in-house, is there a monthly fee (other than registering a domain) associated with exchange? Do you have to purchase and pay monthly for client exchange licenses (CAL)? Thanks!

How to Download Microsoft Exchange Server's Global Address Book? Currently my university uses the Microsoft Exchange Server to house our school email accounts. I would like to enquire how I may get hold of the entire Global Address Book (of Microsoft Outlook 2003) that is stored on the server and save it to any of my own web email accounts, short of manually converting each into Contacts individually then export them out as .CSV. This is because I am graduating soon and I would like to keep in contact with my alma mater. Thanks in advance!

Using a batch file and microsoft exchange server? Hi; I would like to know if it is possible to have a batch file which when run it automatically maps the user login(profile) to the correct microsoft exchange server to avoid going through the setup wizard in Microsoft Outlook. For example. I am a new starter and have not logged onto a Pc before. I would run the batch file which will map my user ID to the correct exchange server, this will then close and then I can open Outlook. Does anybody know if this is possible please?

What's a good resource for beginners to learn to administer Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and SBS 2003? Our company recently bought a Small Business Server 2003, mainly to get Exchange 2003. We had enough IT tech support to get it installed and use the basic features. I would like a resource to learn how to administer more features of our system. I am an intermediate-skill PC user, but have no formal training as a network administrator. I went looking for an "Exchange for Dummies" type book, and soon realized they don't make 'em. Am I way out of my league? If not, where should I start? Thanks!
Microsoft Exchange Server problem? I am using Microsoft Exchange Server 6.5 . We are hosting our own email. About a week ago, one of the employees here said he could not receive outside mail. He could send mail, and receive mail delivered within the company, but he could not reeive mail from an outside source. I did a test by sending him an email from a gmail account, and it automatically bounced back. Then, on Thursday or Friday of last week, another employee complained about the same problem! Can anyone think of anything that might be causing this? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hosting a microsoft exchange server...? Hello, We have a Microsoft Windows 2000 Server environment with approximately 8 Windows 2000 servers and 80 workstations. We are not running Active Directory or any domain based policies. Its a simple network really. We currently use Outlook 2003 with POP3 email that is hosted by our ISP. We want to deploy Microsoft Exchange server so that Outlook 2003 can use more advanced features like calendaring, etc. We need to also have Outlook Web Access. Do we need to convert to active directory, or can I do this without having to convert right now? Please advise ... thank you!
