Dedicated servers management? I was wondering if I were to rent a server, how would I have access to it? Like how can I control the server to do certain task, such as using Bittorent to get certain files into my server? And what OS do service provider normally use (unless required by customer)? I'm new to these hosting, so I was kinda want some advice and tips on how should I manage my server

How can I automatically close error messages? Hi. I'm hosting a dedicated server in my basement, on my desktop. Anyway, the server crashes at night because of mingebags. I don't want help with the crashing problem. All I want to know is how to click every little error message that pops up. When I click the error messages, the dedicated server automatically restarts. Now, I'm not sitting at my desktop computer 24/7, so I need some way of automatically closing/clicking OK or END PROCESS or CLOSE PROGRAM. This has been a repost of a previous question, minus about half of it (my screaming about all the 'tips' Yahoo! gives you when you're trying to write a proper question.

Call of Duty Connection Problems, Help is appreciated.? I really do enjoy call of duty 4 and 5, both phenomenal online games. I play them on the Ps3. Though I've noticed connection issues, so have my friends and we have many theorys to the problem but wrecked over witch it is and how to fix it. When my friend would host a cod4 or 5 game me and about 2-3 other friends would join and we would all get bad connections. But if me or my other 2-3 friends were to host we would get good connections but the other friend who hosted the first time would get a bad connection. Now I'm pretty sure it might be something to do with his connection or something? Any tips on how to fix it or if it is his connection? Would it be the server types infinity ward use? or is it something to do with dedicated servers. Since Infinity ward are not part of the call of duty series anymore and the next game will just be named "Modern Warfare 2" could this problem (if there is one) be fixed? I'm hopelessly stuck with all this internet connection and hosting, don't understand it at all. If anyone could tell me if it is just his connection or if its natural to any of you? i want to host an LAN party. i need some help on the topic of setting up the networking stuff? i already know about getting the tables and power and food and stuff but what do i do about networking for my party? i will have up to 15 people but maybe less. i can't spend very much at all. i have bellsouth dsl and the biggest router i have is a 5 port.i pretty much know nothing about networking and stuff. so PLEASE give step by step what do i need to buy and how do i set it up so that it will be easy when everyone comes. and like what does it mean to run a dedicated server? can i use my gaming computer for that and what does it do? and does everyone have to own the games or do they use a disc from me? and how does everyone get where we are all playing together. i need alot of help with the setup! please give any tips you have!!!!
